SPACE Exclusive sessions

These sessions are exclusively for SPACE members, but there are more sessions available if the dates / times don't work for you.  


If your child has energy to burn, this is the activity for you! Doughnutting is basically walking up a hill and then sliding down in an inflatable ring and repeat.

All participants must wear gloves, sleeves and full length trousers, the surface is very abrasive. If the weather is warm, thin layers are highly recommended. We will be putting wax on the bottom of the rings for anyone that wants to slide faster, so please wear old clothes.

This activity is for anyone age 5+.  Siblings are very welcome to participate in sessions.

Adapted Cycling - Back in the Spring

This session is for participants that can't ride a 2 wheel bike, but want to go for a bike ride. We have a variety of trikes, hand bikes, side by side bikes and bikes for people that can't transfer from their wheelchair.


Please be prepared to pedal or walk alongside your child. Everyone riding a bike MUST wear a cycle helmet, you are welcome to bring them with you or borrow ours.

Bell Boating - Back In the Spring

This is a big stable 10 seater paddle boat, great for those that want to go out on the water but not in it!  All participants on the boat MUST wear a bouyancy aid which we will provide.


Buy a participant ticket and get an adult seat included free. Minimum age for participant is 8 (this is a Stanborough activity centre rule)

Home education sessions

We are running some taster sessions for children who are home educated, with a view to weekly sessions once we know what is wanted and when. If you are interested go to our Home Ed page

Inflatable at Stanborough Park - Back next summer

Children need to be aged 8+ and confident in water to take part in this session. The small inflatable assault course finishes with a slide into the lake, followed by a 10m max swim back to the steps to start all over again! 


All participants MUST wear a bouyancy aid which we will provide.  All participants MUST wear footwear that will stay on their feet when they are in the water e.g. an old pair of trainers (they will get wet)

2 wheel bike training with HCC Cycle training team

1-1 sessions for anyone struggling with a 2 wheel bike. Whether you still have stabilisers or not, the instructors will work on basic skills appropriate to the individual. The session will take place on an enclosed concrete area. 

Small group session for anyone that can stay upright on their 2 wheel bike for 30 - 60 seconds, but needs help to improve. The maximum ratio for these sessions will be 1:3.


The session will take place on an enclosed concrete area with bikeability instructors from the Herts County Council cycle training team. All participants must wear a cycling helmet and bring a roadworthy bike (don't worry we are not going on roads). Please be aware that the first 10 minutes ish will be a bike check, so be prepared to entertain your child if they are unlikely to engage with this process.
