Meet the Team
Ros is a teacher by trade, but her passion for working with people with disabilities as a volunteer, meant that when the opportunity arose to work in the field she loves she took it.
Sine works 2 days a week for the charity as our Charity Secretary and Administration Manager. She has a background in personnel, finance and working with not for profit organisations. She's usually found in our office (she's the one who answers the phones) but we do let her out now and again for big events!
John worked for HCC days services so his skills and experience are invaluable to us. John is a power boat driver, bell boat helm, archery instructor and adapted cycling leader, as well as very important duty of driving Ralph our van.
Max is a student at the University of Herts and works part time with the foundation. Max is now an archery instructor, power boat driver and adapted cycling leader. Max creates the best spin on the doughnutting slope according to many of our service users1

Josh has used his experience working for the HDSF and has gone on to get full time employment now. Josh still comes back to help at events and occasional sessions. In his time with us he gained many qualifications including archery instructor, bell boat helm, power boat driver and adapted cycle leader.

Alice is one of our volunteers who helps with our dance, archery and boccia sessions at Leyden House Day Service. But she also helps with our EasyRider and Bell Boating sessions at Stanborough Lakes.
Martina is a regular volunteer with HDSF, when she is not working or training. She came 4th at the 2017 Para World Championships in the Long Jump in her debut for Team GB. We have supported Martina to become an archery instructor, L3 fitness instructor, boccia and athletics assistant coach and much much more.
Freddie is a highly qualified watersports instructor who helps the foundation on big events and where we need a specialist. Having worked at Stanborough with the original hub activities, he played a major part in shaping the activities we see delivered today.
